Again, this is a group effort, so send in the thoughts.

Ark
I would switch Ark for just about anybody, NC State or Purdue? Since Ark plays in the SEC they are likely to be in a lot of 13-14 games. Likely Feeshman QB, best running back out? I'll pass.
Sorry
Purdue does not fit, I can't add.
SEC question
I like South Carolina as a value pick. You know they'll get you points even if they lose, because of the Spurrier offense. So when they win big (and I think visor boy has Meyer's number) you get the bonus points from the upset.

I see nothing but upside to the Gamecocks.

McFadden is the next Arkie RB on the 6 year plan.
He'll be out for sometime with a broken toe. How long...who knows?
Those are the worst and he will stil have lingering arthritic pain throughout the season.

Couple of thoughts
I would not pick UTEP off the bat.  I would trade for them after they lose to Tech.  I don't see Tech losing to the miners to start of the season.

Arkansas is a bad choice to start off with as well, being that they start with USC and are without their star running back.

UT       1.8
USC    1.81
Navy   0.88
Fresno 0.95
FSU     1.45
Iowa    1.32
Tech    1.23
K St     0.45
Total    9.89

This is based on knowing that we will trade later.  UT, USC, Navy and Fresno are my core.  Then we have FSU, who I would not have picked until Miami imploded off season.  They just suspended 4 players for FSU and are getting into shoot outs.  I think FSU is going to beat Miami, and after that should win out until Florida in November.  Iowa has a good schedule for winning this year.  Tech, as I said before, should beat UTEP, then an upset win at TCU is a strong possibility for points.  I would trade them some time before the Texas game.  Finally, K St.  At first mention, a horrible pick.  But they start with Illinois St, then Florida Atlantic and Marshall to raps up the 3-0 start.  But they should be traded before the Louisville on Sept 23.

trade K-state
for Nevada after game 3.  I wouldn't count any of those as locks for the Wildcats though.   They have been stinking.

I am not a fan of Iowa, FSU or Fresno, but until I offer up a better team, I say Wells' is the best.

How about 2 value picks
Marshall and Arizona

Marshall has a good chance to knock off both K-State and Tennessee.

Arizona has a nasty schedule, with LSU and USC in their first 4 games, but we all know how LSU stumbles in their early games, and Stoops may just have the D to confound the USC juggernaut this year - and it's a home game.

I would drop
Iowa and UTEP and pick up Purdue and Auburn.
Just MHO
