Kellen Heard with another cheap shot, this time on Harrell.
If there’s a college football player I actually DO want to get injured, he’s the guy. I don’t wish injuries on people, but this guy has karma pointed right as his ACL.
Crabtree’s been out with an injury since the first quarter. This doesn’t look positive for them, although they should still be able to take care of business.
Watching this team against Nebraska and Fake Army, they don’t look like anything special. Our offense should have a field day. Missouri and Okie State scare me WAY more.
…jawing withe the aggie fans after throwing such an ugly pic and then going up only 4 points. he’s the perfect QB for the tech fanbase: clueless and classless.

the schedule being what it is, I’ll take Tech going down to give Texas more of an advantage – after all, if the Ags win it’s not like they’re back in contention all of a sudden. By contrast, Tech losing takes a bit of the pressure off us.
1. Tech will play with their head down against us.

their red zone defense has been great as has their third down defense. They’re not an elite defensive team, but they’re way better than they have been in past years. on offense, they’re passing as well as they have in previous years, and also have a decent rushing attack to complement it this year.
in this game, their problem has been turnovers. they’re moving the ball like crazy against a&m and when a&m gets into the red zone, they’re holding them to field goals, but they keep turning the ball over.
also, you’re discounting the unbelievable home field advantage they will have against Texas in lubbock.
for the last 4 years or so, with a terrible defense and no running game. Add a running game and a decent defense and I think that makes them a potential top 10 team at the end of the year.
I’ll give you the running game, but I’m still not convinced about their defense. Reprise the old refrain, but they really haven’t played a team that makes me sit up and take notice. When (if) they beat a team with a strong offensive line, then I’ll start to believe.
Not just Kiper. Most other major outlets had him #1 among QBs eligible for the 2009 draft as well. I ridiculed it then, and I’m hurting my triceps patting myself on the back about it now. Rivals and Scout had him as the #1 QB recruit in the nation, too. He’s a stiff.
Oh, but to be fair, I should say that there’s a reason Stafford and Harper are so high on the lists: the list of eligible QBs prior to the season was very, very lackluster. I mean, there are people talking about Bradford as a very early pick at this point, for crying out loud.
Vandy’s down a touchdown, but Stafford’s throwing short of his receivers all over the place, can’t convert to save his life, and has thrown two picks. He’s been pretty weak, just like all season and career.
The good news for Stafford is that his completion percentage is up. He’s completed an amazing 12 of 21 (57.1%).
Welker doesn’t have talent. He has something else. Moxie, maybe? Not sure what else to call it. He’s not fast, not strong, not big, and only average in agility. He plays above his level like Rod Smith always did.
Classless? He’s letting the offense finish what they started, and of course it’s also saving face for when the poll voters look at the scores to determine their rankings.
But next week (I think) Ohio State needs to learn how to play football and beat a Penn-State team that has no more challenges left on their schedule past Ohio State.
I will enjoy watching Griffin the next few years; He is so impressive. Baylor needs to bring their program back where it used to be, when you had to worry about a trip to Waco.
The Big 12 isn’t given enough credit for the teams that we do have. Maybe Kansas is a good defense, not great, but good. And they are smart enough to take advantage of some inexperience. OU is going to miss Reynolds badly.
Nice game today, but it was a one man show. I think Gideon and Thomas can handle Bryant if he gets past the corners, and our line will take care of the 3-headed monster on the ground.

I love Lee Corso; I think he’s a cartoon character, but I can’t help but laugh. He clowns.
Skin Patrol - October 18, 2008
OSU moving/scoring at will
9 yard TD pass to Dez Bryant caps 12 play, 81 yard drive.
Pokes now have 195 total yards, 13 first downs. Lead 21-6 with 5:41 left in 2nd Quarter.
Impressive.
Peter Bean - October 18, 2008
Terrelle Pryor looking very impressive
5-5 for 86 yards and 1 TD with 4 rushes for 62 yards and another TD
HornPossessed - October 18, 2008
Think USC is in for a little payback in the Shoe next year?
patienthornsfan - October 18, 2008
I pray for that.
USC should play 1 challenging game a year. This year is miserable in turns of talent for USC opponents.
HornPossessed - October 18, 2008

Peter Bean - October 18, 2008
Nice drive as well.
HornPossessed - October 18, 2008
KU playing well
just scored a TD to tie it up against OU.
billyzane - October 18, 2008
Ohio State is starting to grow on me
With Beanie back and Pryor playing way too good for a freshman. They are putting Michigan State back in their place.
Even with their mediocre conference Ohio State vs Penn State next week is going to be a monster game.
goingforthecorner - October 18, 2008
Agreed.
My mancrush on Terrelle Pryor is equal or greater than my Robert Griffin bromance.
I can’t believe I said mancrush and bromance in the same sentence…
HornPossessed - October 18, 2008
Have we ever played PSU?
patienthornsfan - October 18, 2008
Yea
It was either in 1996 or 1997…pretty sure it was a bowl game in Arizona somewhere. We got beat by double digits.
HornPossessed - October 18, 2008
And before that...
1989, I believe. We played at PU.

Bevoboy94 - October 18, 2008
We are 2 - 3 against them.
Could have played them in the 69 MNC year but tehy would not come down and play in the Cotton
Bevoboy94 - October 18, 2008
Complete history

We’ve played 5 times, only won twice.

HornPossessed - October 18, 2008
I think this is good
Should Texas win tonight, we’ll want OSU to be undefeated and highly regarded.
Which they are going to be. And should be.
Good football team.
Peter Bean - October 18, 2008
Good point
It sets up the heavyweight bout that it should be with us. Everything I wanted the Mizzou game to be before they lost last weekend.
HornPossessed - October 18, 2008
Terrance Cody does a good Roy Miller impersonation
learned hand - October 18, 2008
Holy crap, dude. USC is kinda good, and Wazzu is terrible. 34-0 so far, less than halfway through the second quarter.
burntorangehorn - October 18, 2008
It's not that USC is that dominating
It’s that WSU is that miserable this year.
HornPossessed - October 18, 2008
Badass, Duke’s leading My Ammy. That’s good to see, especially if it lasts.
burntorangehorn - October 18, 2008
Not for me
I put some money on the U.

krelldoggy - October 18, 2008
No McCoy, but he's a good QB for the SEC
learned hand - October 18, 2008
Reesing makes a very bad decision
Throws on a scramble right into the hands of a defender when KU was about to score.
He’s no McCoy either.

Maybe last year's McCoy

the Reynolds loss is huge.
zamm - October 18, 2008
Not so much any more
KU is sputtering, and OU seems to have rediscovered the running game.

horndude - October 18, 2008
I'm not sure OU's defense was on the field for that series
learned hand - October 18, 2008
I'm tired of hearing about the SEC.
The Big 12 isn’t given enough credit for the teams that we do have. Maybe Kansas is a good defense, not great, but good. And they are smart enough to take advantage of some inexperience. OU is going to miss Reynolds badly.
dimecoverage - October 18, 2008
Not as worried about OSU now
Nice game today, but it was a one man show. I think Gideon and Thomas can handle Bryant if he gets past the corners, and our line will take care of the 3-headed monster on the ground.
patienthornsfan - October 18, 2008
Nice TD Snead
