Some footage of Lucas from his senior year in high school at Bellaire in Houston. The kid has a smooth stroke, solid vision, and good handles. The utilization of -- gasp! -- the bounce pass is especially nice to see. Lucas isn't a creative playmaking blur like former Houston standout TJ Ford, but his scoring game is more polished. He's a much better shooter and finishes in the lane with a pretty tear drop/floater shot that he seems comfortable with.

OK Seriously
Why aren’t we more excited about this? With this addition to next year’s class, that already includes 2 5 stars…. and then 2010’s class with 2 more 5 stars….. Why aren’t we going crazy about this? Am I missing something?

Reasons
It’s still football season here and the only recruiting story that people care about is McFarland.
We already know what to expect from Lucas somewhat. He started all games last year for Florida, and wanted out because he’s obviously worried about his NBA stock. Puts a bad taste in your mouth. He lost the job to Calathes, so he wanted out.
We might have a glut of guards in the future. Concerns of Lucas defense and team concepts.

I am not talking about JUST Jai....
but he is an upgrade that was needed, and the final piece of a Kick-Ass puzzle that is the recruiting class of 09 and 10. This group is going to be awesome… and like you said, deep.
I get your first point, although I could not care less about McFarland, but I get it.
I just think, when you look at what Barnes is doing over there…..it is really impressive.
