Today has to be better

I would say yesterday was the worst January 1 bowl schedule we’ve ever seen.

Today's unofficial sponser of the Cotton Bowl uniforms.

Can be seen here.

I'm stuck at work...

I’ll be checking in periodically. Is everyone else out there rooting for Ole Miss? I just can’t help rooting against Tech.

Tech just scored.

7-0

Tech interception

14-0

Ditto......

stuck at work pulling for Ole Miss. Good thing I found this ESPN link# to keep up with the game

Ugh...both scores after turnovers. Come on, Miss...
I hate Tech too,

But don’t you want your only loss to look even better with a Tech win? And honestly I don’t mind seeing the Big XII season being validated by a couple of wins over the SEC.

I don't know that it makes that much difference now...

that UT already has their bowl set and everything, and people’s perceptions of how good the team is are going to be affected more by how they play than how other Big 12 teams play. And Tech is just so unlikeable for me. Harrell is such a douche and crybaby, and Leach is such a moronic tool. I just can’t like them. They bug me.

Hopefully Ole Miss can...

keep driving the ball and stop turning it over and wear out Tech’s defense. It’s still early.

I root for the Big 12

But after the way Leach filled out his ballot I can’t bring myself to pull for his team.

F the Big 12 in other bowl games

No self respecting Horn fan could ever pull for OU or Tech. I don’t give a damn what bowl it is

OU I understand

But Tech? Really?

Apparently I have no self respect.

Snead has always had a nice arm...
Believe it or not, Houston Nutt was a 5* QB coming out of high school

He is pulling out all the stops today

BS.

No way.

….

Seriously?….

Yep, Little Rock Central 1977
All State basketball player too
according to whom?

I can tell you there was no such thing as rivals.com in 1977…

Right or wrong...

…I think the media takes into account strength of conferences in bowl games, and it has sway on where teams start in the preseason rankings. In a year where you may have multiple undefeateds that is the sort of thing that can make a difference in the CG or not. I’m fine w/ TT winning the Cotton Bowl if it makes the media think the Big 12 and influences where the Horns start in ‘09. Do you think there will be a Big 10 team in the Top 10 to start next year? Hell no. Maybe I’m reading too much into it though.

Yes and no...

I think there is some truth to that, and it does affect voting for next year. But I also think that performance in the bowl game influences perception as well. I mean, look at all the idiots talking now about how USC is the the real best team of the year. I heard people saying the same thing about Penn St. a month ago, and about UT. If UT blows OSU out, there may be some talking heads talking about how UT should be ranked first. So I think that a team’s most recent performance affects perceptions more than other factors.

Doesn’t matter. No matter what happens, the media will still make a much bigger deal and lend much more credibility to the SEC. It’s groupthink at its worst.

Crabtree looks like an RB...
Angry dwarf catches pass
Why couldn't....

tech play like this when we played them? Damn.

lets not open that bucket buddy
Anyone know where to find a live online stream?

Radio or TV?

check the posts above...a few people are watching online
810whb.com

Hey bro go onto 810whb.com if you want to listen to the game. Hit the listen live button

In addition

There is this

Thanks man.

I also found it on XM radion online if anyone is interested.

It seems Ole Miss isn’t terribly intimidated by the Insane Clown Posse.

I hate to say it but one I already have money on Texas Tech. 2 I don’t want Mississippi thinking they are better than our team for beating Tech

Then you must want

TTU thinking they are better than the Gators for beating Ole Miss?

I’m just sayin…

I know it sounds bad but I wanted every Big XII team to win except Oklahoma! I already have my money on Florida

I want Leach to lose because of the voting fiasco, but I also don’t want the Big 12 #3 to lose to the SEC #4.

Wow, nice run by Harrell. Can’t believe he got tripped up inside the 5.

Yeah that was a pretty sweet run

too bad he didnt fall and break his legs...dam
shit shouldve picked ole miss to win instead
Tech's OL is not playing very well today

I am pretty impressed with McCluster….GD should take notes and start lining up our RBs everywhere

Holding

They probably knew they couldn’t get away with it.

Haha yeah...

No Big XII refs today boys…

I stopped watching

after the 12th replay of crabtree’s catch against Texas.

god...now i know how Redsox fans feel..
Ole Miss is blitzing like crazy

When they drop back and give Harrell time, he can pick them apart.

Wow...

…NOW he falls down

What an unbelievably boring and uninspiring call by Pat Summerall

on the Ole Miss pick 6.

I’m sure it’s already been brought up, but it would be ironic if Jevan Snead’s team beats the one team Colt McCoy’s team couldn’t beat.

Great foresight. Irony struck. nt
Shit does this mean Craptree will be back next season?

I doubt he will go first 2 rounds now with his history of injuries

Love the sig

“Raclibrate our rectangle” will henceforth be my go-to phrase for “get our shit together”

oops

that @utlonghorn24

hahaha nice.

FWIW, that was said by the Texas Rangers’ broadcaster, Josh Lewin, when one of the umpires was having a horrible night calling balls and strikes… haha.

Yeah

Lewin is classic…I don’t catch him much anymore being down in Austin. One of the few things I miss about Dallas

Definitely.

I was lucky enough to find a channel on campus when I was there that showed the local MY 27 games here in Dallas.

It wouldn't be a Tech bowl game without them being down

They’ve came back before, lets see if they do it again.

but aint it lovely to see douche Harrell struggling to complete a dam pass?
Tech

stupid tech..play like you are playing Texas. Jeez.

let it go already

that happens every 100 yrs

*continues watching Harrell and Crabtree draft stock plummet*
Wow miss FG

You go from a player getting an INT, and stepping out of bounds when he didn’t need to, to not getting any points at all from it.

Leach always looks like he got a stick up in his ass
Ummm what?

QB sneak on 4th and 4?

WTF

This was one of the game losers.

Reminded me when Leach went for it on fourth down instead of kicking FG against OU when the score was 14-0. Leach makes gambles his team can’t afford to lose.

Leach doesn’t not have good judgment and overall game sense. Really stupid calls.

WTF a QB sneak on 4th and 4?

is this game his “genius” plan of staying in Lubbock and pulling down craptree with him???

Question about the "Mad Scientist"

Is he the mad scientist because they pass every play? If you ask me, he is Steve Spurrior lite.

That was one of the dumbest playcalls I've ever seen

I wonder if a Tech fan would venture to defend that call. First of all, you need to punt that. Secondly, that’s a horrible playcall. Just pure stupidity.

Really insulting to his defense

Oh, here’s ol Miss scoring again. How nice to have a running game.

That might be game right there

Texas Tech dodged a bullet, avoiding points on that punt return. Then Leach gives the ball right back with good field position and momentum. Brilliant, isn’t he?

Some would say Mad Scientist
Until the clock strikes

0:00 in the 4th quarter, I’d never really count Tech out. Just ask Glen Mason.

hmm till then I will point and laugh at tech's offense
while picturing Harrell's Chritmas Sweater
If Stoops goes to Broncos and OU hires Leach

ROFL. Talk about a downgrade. Like I said before, expect multiple Big 12 championships for Mack Brown in the future.

So what's on later?

Liberty bowl? How the hell does East Carolina get a bowl game? Sugar bowl is Utah vs Alabama. That can’t be good.

UT vs. Appalachian State
first u ask how did ND get into a bowl game then u ask how come we are not in MNC
ECU?

Being how they beat Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and two other bowl teams in Memphis and Tulsa this year, you could probably come up with a team much less deserving of a bowl than ECU. They also won C-USA, for what it’s worth….

So uh...all we had to do was

Blitz and play man against Tech’s offense? are u friggin kidding me?

Greg Davis.
what? u mean muschamp
Greg Davis' play calling ruined that game for us not our defense
I would say

poor tackling on defense, not wrapping up Harrell, and laughable secondary performance cost us the game as well
Dont put the blame on GD entirely

What happened to Tech after the OSU game? Since then, the have been awful.
The only thing I can think of is maybe they were demoralized after losing to OU
Our offense couldn't stay on the field to save our lives

but that game sin the past

I am saying dont make arguments that are just purely one-sided
You mean

the defense that gave up nearly 600 yards to Texas Tech didn’t “ruin” that game for you?

Did Greg Davis kill babies or something. Guy takes a lot of ridicule despite the fact the offense improved remarkably this year.

I agree, the Tech game was not lost because of GD

It was lost because our team was physically and emotionally worn down after playing 3 straight Top 10 teams (2 Gameday games). When Shipley is dropping easy TD passes, something is wrong. It was the perfect storm. Tech hadn’t played anybody and came in with all the momentum, at home, at night, and we were desperately in need of a bye week. It wasn;t the game plan.

I don't know.

Yes, that schedule was flat out ridiculous, but even if we were that drained. We were one or 2 plays away from winning that game.

I do agree that was the perfect storm and it was as if the football gods didnt want us to win. But at the end, we didn’t step up to the challenge and finish the job

Does this mean

Florida’s loss to Ole Miss wasn’t as bad as our to Tech? Really, our only argument is we played away while UF was at home.

Honestly, it doesn't matter at this point

With the long layoffs for bowls, you never know what will happen. However, if Tech and Okie State both go down, it starts to take a bit of the luster off of the Big 12 South.

no argument since we shouldn't have lost to this laughable team
I've been saying all year

that texas full out laid an egg until about half way through the 3rd quarter that night. Texas’ performance had much more to do with the loss in Lubbock than anything the red raiders did that night…

Part of this is motivation.

How much could there have been for Tech when they were in contention for a national title and wind up in the Cotton Bowl.

last game for the seniors and the last game should be plent of motivation
Fox Broadcasting

anyone have any info on who will be calling the game monday night?

i sure hope it isn’t pat summerall

Probably Joe Buck... =\
Leach calls around to see about those job offers

“HAHAHA” Click.

I know that this is Harrell's last game...

But Leach should have taken him out after the terrible 4th and 4 QB sneak play. I thought Harrell deserved to be in NY for the Heisman ceremony, but I think that he has absolutely destroyed any argument that he had that he was slighted. This is the worst game I have ever seen him play. If his hand is still messed up, that’s understandable, but he is just awful today.

Agreed with that about 100%
And right as I posted that, he finally got his sh&% together and leads a touchdown drive....

Good for him, if he can rally this team, it would be a nice way to go out after a highly successful career. Before that drive, though, the guy looked like a true freshman in his first game.

And now he's terrible again...

Yeah, Harrell looks like a deer in the headlights today. Absolutely terrible final game for this guy. But at least he took some shots at the Heisman folks after he was “snubbed.”

Should I be happy TT is losing?
I am ecstatic...but i feel Tech coming back...
i say no

personally I want a win for the big 12. but that’s just my outlook on it. Many others here have taken a different approach.

Agreed.

Not only does Tech losing make the Big 12 South look weaker, it also puts a dent in Texas’s argument as being the team that belonged in the NC.

I tend to cheer for the Big 12 as well

I was upset that OSU laid an egg in San Diego. Now, if you look at their schedule, all they really accomplished was playing Texas close on the road.

That’s it.

It just really hard to root for Tech...

I have developed such hatred for them this season

I also say

yes. A loss lessens the chance they get more Crabtrees. Leach will get his share of fast, short, weaker receivers that aren’t recruited by the bigger schools (and some will continue to drive us crazy, see Welker). It’s having a couple of fast, tall, strong ones like Crabtree that make his system and similar spreads much more dangerous.

why do you think that?

I would think a player matching that description would be much more concerned with where crabtree gets drafted than how TTU fares in the cotton bowl…

Yes

Leach voted us 5, screw him.

thought it was worse?

7 or so… with tech being #2 probably even more ridiculous

Nah

There is absolutely no logic to explain us #5 and them #2.

I want the Big 12 to win in theory, just not OU and TT. I hate them to much to wish something like that.

Wow, Tech D getting shredded
by d i hope you mean

der-duh-der! dee-tuh-dee

on the pick'em challenge i picked tech to win, against better judgement. i picked off of who i thought generally would win.

i should have in actuality chosen the team i liked better.

I think Ole Miss fumbled on purpose

so they could get the safety, take the ball, and eat up another 6 minutes.

Brilliant coaching.

It's truly called a nut job!
Perfect.

Maybe they’ll fumble again just for the hell of it.

Leach has killed Tech

His quirky playcalling is just doing them in. Playaction deep in your own endzone when you know Ole Miss is just bringing the heat on Harrell? Dumb dumb dumb.

Safety's on

Harrell. You have to read blitz and throw it somewhere. I’d expect him to do a better job of that.

That might be true

But in his defense, when he came up from that fake handoff, he had guys on him immediately. He didn’t have a whole lot of places to go. Calling something that takes more time to develop at that point was just not very smart from Leach.

The blitz

was delayed. He had some time. Apparently nobody was open. Throw it away. He held it too long.

How do you call playaction there?

Absolutely unbelievable. No wonder he didn’t get the UCLA, Miami, Washington, Clemson, or Auburn jobs even after showing interest in all of them.

I have to think that this guy’s blatant job hunting the last month has hurt this team quite a bit. I mean, Ole Miss is good, but they look like the New England Patriots against Tech.

At this rate Harrell goes undrafted
With Crabs going lower than expected. He really hasnt shown anything today.
I think Crabtree will still go high

He’s still a monster. One mediocre day with a bad ankle shouldn’t hurt him that much, unless that ankle injury lingers for months.

The ankle has been lingering for months.

Not to mention a good showing at the combine will make NFL scouts forget anything.

He looked bad against Baylor before the injury. Wasn't he hurt on his first catch of the game?
And these nagging ankle injuries aren't going to help..

The guy has been limping around all season. I think he will be a great pro, but I think you’re right, he might fall to #7-10 if he can’t get healthy for the combine. He should pull a Ted Ginn and just stop playing so that he can get healthy.

two injuries…the first one early in the year…the one he is fighting now happened against Baylor. He’ll be top 10…the rest? Hang em.

More like wrecked into Ole Miss.

That should do it.
Yikes.

Hopefully this will wake up Texas too. How many times have we seen a team that felt “snubbed” by the BCS go to a lesser bowl and get pasted by a team they were expected to beat? We did it against Washington State. Cal did it against Texas Tech. Now, Tech can feel what its like on that end of the spectrum.

oh well, if we blitz every play in Lubbock

and some holding calls for Tech OFL on that faithful night, we may able to pressure Harrell just like what Ole Miss did today. If Colt didn’t score the last TD too fast on that faithful night and keep Harrell off the field a bit longer, we would be in MNC for sure.

the key here is the holding calls. i was astonished that the refs called one. i really believed that they had been stricken from the rule book...
yah, the referee only called once against Tech today..

I bet there were a lot of holding fouls from Tech OFL going on, but somehow, OIe Miss’ D able to power thru their holding and pressured Harrell

well it was nice to see it if only even the one time this season.
Nutt said, you dont give me the holding call, fine..

I’m going to keep blitzing as long as it works

it's about time to call them again #94 Reed.
Unless you

somehow worship something in that armpit they call Lubbock, I think what you were looking for was “fateful” night. I wouldn’t have noticed if it was once, but twice caught my attention.

Lending credence to the old SEC talent/defense story

I doubt OU puts a lie to it in the Championship…

You mean...

“championship.”

Who would have thought that Nebraska would be the Big 12 highlight of the bowl season so far?

If they had lost, the Big 12 would be getting hammered. Though, the conference will be talked down quite a bit thanks to this nationally televised undressing.

Danielson is jumping up and down

yelling “See? Junk Offense! Junk Offense!”

You are exactly right.

All eyes on Texas and OU to carry the Big 12’s national reputation. What else is new?

Ha! Tech called for holding!
The thing is, even if we obliterate Ohio State

Nobody is going to give us too much credit because, fair or not, they’re for the Big 10. That’s why many of us wanted Alabama, even though we knew that was virtually impossible.

But some espn anaylsts or talking heads said,

MB should runs up the scores to 60 +, BCS committee would consider Longhorns as National Co-Champions

No way. There will not be a split title.
i agree. why share the title?

Either we are or we are not..

M E L T D O W N

Compliments of Mike Leach and the world’s worst attempt at career advancement. I think this game is on Leach making the last month about whether or not he can get out of Lubbock and not preparing to play a bowl game.

I don’t recall ever seeing a team unravel the way this team did this year.

Let's give

Ole Miss some credit here. They outplayed this team for the last 52 minutes or so and have obviously put it together at the end of the year.

Good point, it's amazing what a team can do when they have a consistent quarterback.

Ole Miss gets tons of credit. Outplayed us. Leach also gets tons of credit. Completely distracted and uninterested in this game. What a turd.

that hit was almost bomaresque. totally allsum!!!!!

I thought they didn’t run the play clock during the PAT?

The Big XII

is very good. The Big XII South is great. They just aren’t in 1995 Big 8 territory (4 teams in top 9) which I think we all probably knew beforehand. No shame in that.

So does Leach sign his contract now?
Not going anywhere for a while? Mike Leach should get a Snickers commercial.
SEC fans will have a feast with this

Shrug. Like I’ve said before, I think using bowl games to determine conference superiority is silly, but people love to do it, and they’ll undoubtedly do it here. They even did it last year even though Florida embarrassingly lost to Michigan.

Did the 7-1

record in the other 8 bowl games not count?

I’m an SEC fan and even I don’t think the conference is clearly better this year. I think the mid-tier Big XII teams (OSU, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska) are better than the SEC’s, which after Ole Miss takes a serious plunge.

Bowl games are another piece of the puzzle. I think we’ve confirmed the Big Ten blows and the Pac-10 is better that we thought (not the best, just better than we thought).

Fair enough

I think the Big Ten is deservedly getting criticism, but the problem I have with using bowl games as arguing this conference is better than that conference, as a direct comparison, is that it assumes that the entire conferences just played each other. Obviously, all 12 teams of the Big 12 aren’t playing all 11 teams of the Pac-10, for instance. But as you said, it is certainly a piece of the puzzle. I’m talking to those who use it as the only factor or the deciding factor by itself.

All ten teams, I mean, from the Pac-10
Carter and Hamby...typically tech. nt whills
Karma is a bitch
stick a fork in em
They were done after Harrell's mind numbing decision to try a QB sneak on 4th and 4.
your right, that was a terrible call.
Ole Miss recovers the onside kick.

Anyone doubt that Nutt will go for the “FU” TD after that fight?

And then go for two. nt
that would be sweet.
Tech Overrated!
it's too bad we need Ole Miss to find that out
welp, thats all there was to it. tech lost by 20ish.
"Over-Rated" Chants raining down on Tech in Dallas.

Ouch.

Summeral said

“Mike Leach, arguing his point, whatever it is…”

haha

He's going to blame the national media for somehow not giving anyone from Tech any credit.
I like the sign, "94% said we couldnt do it"
remember when some BONers were opining that Florida didn't deserve to be in the MNC game

because losing to Mississippi was such a horrible thing? Good times.

I still don't think that Ole Miss is that good.

Today, Tech couldn’t have beat anybody.

Blame Leach for calling a terrible game
or, brilliant Nutt job...

successful passing/running game that able to kept Harrell off the field most of the day or at least longer than we did in Lubbock..

but, i'm very impressed with Ole Miss' RB
Much better run game than Texas, and that ain't right
And Snead. Good for him, he is starting to look like an NFL QB.
Agree, good for Snead
It looked like he hasnt put on any muscle since high school.

tremendous effort

What would they have to do?

Ole Miss is playing like a top 15 team right now whether anyone here cares to credit them or not.

At least, I'm happy our former backup QB

Just stuck it to Tech.

If Snead had transfered after our bowl game

I wouldn’t have cared about him leaving. But leaving prior to our bowl game was a real bitch move to abandon the team so I just couldn’t root for Ole Miss today. I didn’t root for Tech either though.

I still think

Us losing at the last second on the road is a more defensible loss than Florida losing at the Swamp. But whatever; it’s a dead issue.

So... lets talk about Lache Seastrunck! HA HA HA... any new news?
It makes me shake my head

If we didn’t come out absolutely brain dead in the first half in Lubbock, we walk away with a comfortable victory. The poor playcalling, the dropped balls, the bad blocking… ugh, it hurts. Thinking of that first half hurts more than the infamous goofs by both Gideon and Earl Thomas in the last two plays of the game.

Uh, defense didn't exactly light it up

Is there a reason Muschamp walks on water here? Did he not feel he could have blitzed and played man? Seriously, Greg Davis must have killed Bevo or something.

I'm not saying Muschamp doesn't deserve criticism

But there’s no question in my mind that our offense really screwed up in the first half. After all of our flub ups, we only gave up 22 points and had forced a few Tech punts and field goals. Our defense wasn’t stellar, but they kept us in the game in the first half when Tech could have blown it wide open.

Furthermore

That last TD by Crabtree was Tech’s only offensive touchdown in the second half. If our freshman safety would catch the ball, it never happens. All things considered, more blame goes to the offense for that game.

SEC Defenses 1, Big 12 Offenses 0

And with a thud.

To be fair

Tech still posted 34 points. It’s not like when Tech plays Alabama a few years ago when ’Bama won 13-10. Then you can legitimately say that the SEC defense just stifled that offense. But yes, the SEC defense won this round, since 34 is “low” for Tech.

I'm glad that Fox News' Shepard Smith

has said Hook’em Horns to me!

He's so thankful that Jevan went to his school now
HA, HA, HA!

Ha, friggin’ Ha, Ha, Ha!

Leech, you creep, you got what you deserved – a smack down on the national stage. All the Red Raider fans can kiss my ass!!

Leech ranked UT #5, helping to cost us a shot at the NC and putting his buddy Stoops in the MNC in our place. Red Raider fans pretended they belonged in the NC hunt, despite their pathetic schedule (TWO Div 2 teams) and significantly lower BCS rank than UT/OU that would have taken them out of the mix in every single other BCS conference tiebreaker.

I never hated TTU before this season, just saw them as an annoyance who occasionally knocked UT off in exciting games. But their uppity behavior and coach as if they even belong in the same breath as UT in the top tier of college football has made me pull for their comeuppance in the Cotton, next season and forever more. Without Crabtree/Harrell they’ll be a shell of what they saw themselves as in 2008.

When UT wins and OU loses our beloved Longhorns will finish the season with the best record in the Big XII. And the world will know that the best team was shafted beyond all measure.

HA, HA, HA, HA – Tech Sucks!

The second half

… Tech had it coming to them ever since November 1st

Craig Loston

Just verbally committed to LSU

Really? He had said he would announce during the Under Armour game.

It was just televised on the UA skills challenge
Barkley beat out GG in the QB skills portion of the show.

Barkley’s got a cannon!

Utah makes it look very easy…

Will Aikman and Buck get the MNC game?
SEC Defense

How about that SEC Defense we hear about so much Utah 14 Bama 0

Still 8:30 or so left in the 1st quarter!
and it didn't look difficult

Man…Utah looks like they want to be there. Looks a little too familiar to me.

I picked Bama on the ESPN college bowl pickem with confidence of 33

When u say looks to familiar are you thinking Oklahoma Vs Boise State?

no. I’m thinking Ole Miss v. Texas Tech. Sad day for me.

Yeah your right, I just thought Boise State because people think the MWC and WAC conferences are such jokes that they shouldn’t be entitled to a BSC game

Nick Saban Coach Of The Year Please

Utah is playing inspired. Just whipping Bama’s front.

It’s kind of nice seeing a top 10 SEC team get tore up like this since their always known for there Defense

Good thing Florida whooped up on this Bama team I don’t think I would want to see them in the big game on the 8th. I’m pretty sure Choklahoma could handle them if this is how they play

MAN! Utah is killing them!

21-0 with 4 min left

Lots of Ute fans in the house. I’m pretty impressed.

Bama keeps Plaxicoing themselves

Barry Freakin' Switzer at halftime on Fox?
Foot in mouth barry!
Too bad for Utah if they win

They beat EVERY team on their schedule. They did everything you could ask a mid-major school to do. Yet not even a shot at a national championship.

Alabama D not handling the "Junk" offense like Ole Miss handled Tech

Alabama is relying on their D to much. Step it up O!

Well if there was an 8 team playoff

It would be #3 Texas vs #6 Utah. I think we’d win, but it wouldn’t be a blowout. Would’ve loved to have seen it either way.

Utah looks fantastic tonight on both sides of the ball.

Hook & Ladder FTW!!!!
At least SEC fan has to shut up for one day
The Rebels would disagree
Alabama who?

would love to see OU lose in the same manner and hear Barry S. comment about it for fox.

Future Impact

Don’t know if this strengthens a playoff argument, though it should. However, maybe a conference like the MWC will start to get a little more pub for earning an auto bid. Hell, this is the second BCS game that Utah has won, and the 2nd time it’s gone undefeated since the inception of the BCS. Still no National Title to show for it….

Agreed

You telling me Cincy or Va Tech deserve an automatic bid over Utah? That’s absurd.

Ole Bare

PB, not sure I caught switzer’s last reference – sounded like a ‘waaaa’ re Texas comments by Johnson, et al. Looked like he’d already pounded a few back at the bar. It was only fitting he had to sit next to Johnson since Barry was his bitch when Johnson coached at the “U”
