The top three look familiar... Hell, they all do.

Except one team forgot to recruit on the offensive side of the ball.

They a have great RB and WR
But it just goes to show how important the QB position is.

'have a'
Mobile typing is tough for some.

Bama has good offensive talent. They’re just young, with a mediocre QB.
I actually prefer our D against Florida’s O. If you can look pas the Tebow hype, you’ll realize that there’s not much there.

OU
With a defense like that no way they should have lost to both BYU and Miami. Ok ok ok, good point. They lost their Heisman trophy QB and their all-american TE and 4 offensive lineman but c’mon, reload and repair. Is that Stoops’ achilles heel?

I'm confused.
I know stats are for losers (Coach Boom 3:16), but three of those four teams are undefeated.

The other one has 3 losses though.

One other point of consideration....
This would apply to Bama more than Florida…
But we often have a team blown out and have our 2nd or 3rd string D in the game. Bama can’t afford to do that very often because a blowout to them is a 10 pt lead.
Florida I imagine has let their 2nd & 3rd stringers play more in some of their blowouts.

Good point...
While you could go through all the game logs and track a defense’s efficiency in ‘crunch periods’ when the game was still in doubt, the easiest answer is ‘underestimate the Texas defense at your own peril!’

It would appear...
…that we don’t want to play Florida, unless we can figure out how to run the ball. I really want a shot at Florida – both to knock Tebow off, and to show that the best team in the Big XII went to Tempe last January, and not Miami as some would have us believe.
That having been said, in looking at these numbers, it seems to me that we have a better shot at winning a game against Alabama, who gives up more passing yards than any of the other three teams listed.

Interestingly while Texas does way better (allowing 90.0 yds/g) against bad teams,
Both Bama and UF do worse. Or you could say they do better against good teams. Bad teams = losing record. Texas has played 2/7, UF 4/7, and Bama 4/7.
Also UF’s offense gains more yards against winning teams than losing teams. They’ve also played fewer winning teams than UT or Bama though so I imagine sample sizes have something to with that.
Other things I found interesting:
