Storied career at Mater Dei…at the helm at USC as their first true freshman QB. That is a story. Plus the media loves all things USC and SEC. Have I mentioned that the BCS is horrific?
I judge on what he has done in a college game by Barkley
Everything this guy has done on a college field has been completely blown out of portion by the media. That Ohio State game winning drive being all because of Matt Barkley. Yeah right, anybody could of handed the ball off to McKnight and completed screen passes. Then the media saying they lose to Washington because of Barkley not playing. I am not hating on him, I am hating on the media.
Let they guy win a championship or play a few years of college ball first before we start calling him god. Also, its not like he is taking a team with no talent and winning with them. Nothing he has done in my opinion has put him in the upper echelon of college quaterbacks yet.
Arkansas at home. If not that official crews’ conspiracy, Florida would have already a one loss team. I like Georgia to pull the upset and make a statement game to SEC.
I think this is the game that finally does them in. Indiana is playing perfectly by getting TDs and not FGs in the red zone. One more TD score in the 2nd half by Indiana and its over. I don’t see a big10 team scoring more than 21 points in a half.
recovered the ball and the offense just scored another TD before they head to locker room! Once again, Special Teams at work!!! Last week, there were a lot of games have involved with Special Teams that determined the outcomes of each game. I can’t stress enough how important the Special Teams. And there’s a reason why they called “Special”.
4th down ball spot, which was challenged unsuccessfully, and a TD catch, reviewed but not overturned. Hoosiers not hurt by either call as they both fixed themselves naturally on the next play.
That may be why the Hoosier’s HC were yelling that sideline referee right after the 2nd quarter. He’s warning him, “be careful…I’m watching you guys closely”
Keep throwing, keep doing what you did in the first half to get the lead. No need to get all conservative until the you have a lead late in the 4th quarter.
the inconsistency of official reviews is comical...none of these reviews indicated enough evidence to reverse except the first down which was not reversed

The commentator talking about Stanzi being rattled… That just shows McCoy’s poise. If any QB could be rattled at this point in the season, it would be McCoy. But look at the way he has handled everything- slow starts, being sick (never complained nor did it end up in the media until after the game), not producing the way the offense did last – and he continues to go out there and give it his all.
Indiana’s offense? I love the Pistol and the versatility it give you. I am a big fan of downhill running and one reason I don’t like the spread is it is nearly impossible to do so out of it. The Pistol presents the best of both worlds of being able to run downhill out of it and also give the quarterback the gift of being away from the line of scrimmage and seeing the field. I wish GD would take same notes.
One is Robert Gallery’s cousin, an Iowa farm girl now in the USAF, and she was one of my wife’s bridesmaids. She’d kill me if she saw me cheering against Iowa, but damn, the insanity has to end here.
Wife’s asking why I’m going against Iowa, and I explained that while I’d love to see UT-Iowa in the BCS championship game, it’s not a certainty yet that both ’Bama and UF would lose games before then.
But that’s inexcusable. Two passes, over 160 yards, two touchdowns. That kind of stuff happens in video games. They have nobody to blame there but themselves.
It’s a shame that those voting in the polls probably won’t see anything of this game except the score. Iowa didn’t win this game except on the scoreboard.
Incredible finish in the Rutgers-UConn game. UConn drove pretty impressively to score the go-ahead touchdown with 0:43 left, and then Rutgers turns around with a bomb to Tim Brown with 0:22 left to re-take the lead.
Keep an eye out…expect a few more scores in this one.
Sheffield (sticks) has a hurt foot – expected to be back in two weeks vs OSU. He dominated in KSU and NE games. Potts was the starter at the beginning of the season, but is now #3. Seth Deoge, original 3rd QB, started with KU today.
I can appreciate the fact that Tebow is very good in that offense but his mechanics are downright terrible. It takes forever for him to get rid of the ball. Vince may have had a funky motion too but he snapped his wrist and got rid of the ball quick. That motion will not fly on the next level, if he does indeed play QB.
“And as for halloween, your kids need to learn that this another corporate sensationalized holiday…and that there’s no Santa. Aggie football is for real my friend.”
I understand being aggressive offensively, but expecting a freshman QB to drive you 90 yards in under 2 minutes? Looks like he didn’t learn his lesson from the UH game.
Then he shows up late for his own meetings and has kids tweeting how unprofessional he is?
1. Okie Lite
2. Aggies (due to home field and short week)
3. Big XII Championship
4. Kansas
5. UCF
6. Baylor (Only because they know they will lose while UCF is deluded)
Go back and watch the replay of the end of the play before Georgia scores the td (6:31ish left in the 3rd). Watch Brandon Spikes jump on the pile, then proceed to put his hand in the ball carrier’s facemask and mess with his face. Multiple times. What a cheap piece of shit.
Couple upsets I would like to see today...
1. Georgia over Florida
2. Oregon over USC

3. Indiana over Iowa

cj43 - October 31, 2009
I have some friends who are huge Iowa fans
One is Robert Gallery’s cousin, an Iowa farm girl now in the USAF, and she was one of my wife’s bridesmaids. She’d kill me if she saw me cheering against Iowa, but damn, the insanity has to end here.
burntorangehorn - October 31, 2009
Yeah, I can't wait to hear all this Iowa talk end also...
Hopefully it will be today. If not, then I expect the tOSU to end it.

Infield Elephant - October 31, 2009
Wife’s asking why I’m going against Iowa, and I explained that while I’d love to see UT-Iowa in the BCS championship game, it’s not a certainty yet that both ’Bama and UF would lose games before then.

Unreal
Did that just happen?

This Iowa game is ridiculous.
Please let us play them for the MNC.
ctex80 - October 31, 2009
The secondary
just smoked pot or something? They’re really high when comes the 4th quarter..
Horns98 - October 31, 2009
Did IU field a defense the last two plays?
cj43 - October 31, 2009
They may have been screwed by bad calls
But that’s inexcusable. Two passes, over 160 yards, two touchdowns. That kind of stuff happens in video games. They have nobody to blame there but themselves.
TheElusiveShadow - October 31, 2009
true
they screwed themselves
Infield Elephant - October 31, 2009
Sad, sad corner
Blew the coverage, and then missed the tackle. That will be a long trip home for that young man.
TheElusiveShadow - October 31, 2009
And Indiana returns

Zeno of Citium - October 31, 2009

Now that is one heck of a collapse.
TheElusiveShadow - October 31, 2009

Horns98 - October 31, 2009

Infield Elephant - October 31, 2009

Indiana is so bad. Soooo bad.
TheElusiveShadow - October 31, 2009
So bad that
No word can describe their D has collapsed on the 4th quarter, huh?

Florida St. on the verge of losing to NC State at home

96Horn - October 31, 2009
Doesn't look like Grambling can hang with Florida today.

More "SEC beating up on each other" in Auburn.
Chizik’s knocking off #25 Ole Miss, just 3min. left and they grabbed an interception. Looks like they’ll run the clock down and win 33-20.
burntorangehorn - October 31, 2009
WOW!
Incredible finish in the Rutgers-UConn game. UConn drove pretty impressively to score the go-ahead touchdown with 0:43 left, and then Rutgers turns around with a bomb to Tim Brown with 0:22 left to re-take the lead.
Keep an eye out…expect a few more scores in this one.
burntorangehorn - October 31, 2009

3 penalties for 35 yards already for Georgia
nice start.
TheElusiveShadow - October 31, 2009
Um...
Field position is important, but on 3rd and 15, Georgia wimped out on a draw play. This is looking fine already.
TheElusiveShadow - October 31, 2009
The TT QBs are hurt?
realmccoy - October 31, 2009
one is
Sheffield (sticks) has a hurt foot – expected to be back in two weeks vs OSU. He dominated in KSU and NE games. Potts was the starter at the beginning of the season, but is now #3. Seth Deoge, original 3rd QB, started with KU today.
Infield Elephant - October 31, 2009
Boise State Much Better Than Iowa
realmccoy - October 31, 2009
Tebow's release is so incredibly slow
But the offense is so well-designed it doesn’t matter most of the time.
TheElusiveShadow - October 31, 2009
What if that #3
catch the ball? Another pin ball interception?
Horns98 - October 31, 2009
I couldn't agree more
I can appreciate the fact that Tebow is very good in that offense but his mechanics are downright terrible. It takes forever for him to get rid of the ball. Vince may have had a funky motion too but he snapped his wrist and got rid of the ball quick. That motion will not fly on the next level, if he does indeed play QB.
CoachEtch - October 31, 2009
Georgia is really bad aren't they?
they play dirty and sloppy. They will make Florida look really good today just like the made OSU look good
Ohio Horn - October 31, 2009
Yeah, this game is over
Stupid penalties, missed tackles, the whole nine yards. They’re just not very good.
TheElusiveShadow - October 31, 2009
Gotta admit- I love the UGA uniforms. Too bad they won't help them win....still, very slick, imo
junglerules - October 31, 2009
Looks like Tebow also has a roommate connection
that CBS can’t stop mentioning. Sorry Gator fans… we understand.

texhorns10 - October 31, 2009
What a game in Houston
Southern Miss was down 43-29 against UH with 6 min left in the 4th quarter. Now the game is tied. 30 secs left and UH driving.
goingforthecorner - October 31, 2009
In the 2nd quarter
San Jose St. hanging in there with Boise St., losing 10-7. Boise was favored to win by 30+ points.
goingforthecorner - October 31, 2009

How can a major college program have so little discipline?
40AS - October 31, 2009
No. Was the key behind Bowden's success
realmccoy - October 31, 2009
The lack of discipline was a problem when he was with Bowden

Aggies Will Be Tough On Turkey Day
Playing tough on Kyle field this year. Close loss to OSU at home – solid win vs. TTech away, and now today against an admittedly pathetic ISU squad.
Short week of preparation for Horns.
realmccoy - October 31, 2009
ISU's not all that pathetic
They’re not playing well right now, but they’re decent, especially when they have Arnaud.

I understand being aggressive offensively, but expecting a freshman QB to drive you 90 yards in under 2 minutes? Looks like he didn’t learn his lesson from the UH game.
