TOP has kept our offense off the field. The TO is a killer but thought the offense was finding it’s legs in the 2nd qtr. We just have not been on the field enough to have more scoring options. 2nd half will be a different story.
the offense moved the ball well, 1 drive in quarter 1, missed field goal vie bad snap and placement, discount the last drive before the half with no time left, 2 TD’s on 3 possessions, the drive where the Horns didn’t score was blown up by a hold, Colt barely had the ball in the 1st half,

It's barely west of the geographic center of the US, which is Kansas
I know it’s ticky-tacky, but I have long been hoping to change the notion that anything east of the Mississippi could possibly be associated with the word “west” when it comes to relative in the US.
There is nothing in the UCF secondary to keep Colt...
…from throwing longballs at will. The only thing missing is the WILL for GD to allow Colt to do it, and for Colt to realize he’s playing against such a sh-tty secondary and trust his receivers.
On the possession that started inside the 10 there were 2 deep balls dials up and Colt missed on both of them. If he hits Ship in stride its a touchdown, and on the next one he hung a ball behind Kirk for the easy pick.
i’m just continually amazed how 2nd rate this network is for some of the games they pick up. although the commentary is more tolerable than the mothership BS most of the time
GD still hasn’t realized that yet after two quarters so he keeps doing the same thing leaving Colt in there. Just like the cranky old uncle who refuses to bathe.

how the sun and the wind keep getting brought up, maybe they should practice outside the bubble once in a while if this type of weather is giving them problems.
the refs had a better angle than any of the cameras. Still don’t know why they don’t mandate cameras down the goal line for replay, could even require built in cameras to make sure they’re accurate similar to the goal post cameras.
Texas doing several things well on offense, hamstrung only by the impotent effort to rush the ball consistently. Absolutely looks like even a marginal improvement in that regard would be the difference in this offense breaking out. The play action is coming along, Colt’s throwing good deep balls, and spreading the ball around… If we could make people commit a smidge more to the run game, we’ll be in great shape
. . . in terms of a QB who doesn’t appear to be playing particularly spectacularly, but then you look at the stats and see some gaudy/great numbers? Aikman was a master at being at 16 of 17 without anyone noticing.
But it’s a divisional game, and there are some playmakers on the team. Think they might have a decent shot against a team lacking in leadership, as ’Bama is.
Woot! first

Not sure about the screamin' lady today.
TOP has kept our offense off the field. The TO is a killer but thought the offense was finding it’s legs in the 2nd qtr. We just have not been on the field enough to have more scoring options. 2nd half will be a different story.

absolutly true

I got over on this game, too.
And it just so happens this is the only morning game that hasn’t broken 20 points yet in the half. LOL.
iamjackburton - November 7, 2009
stay tuned...
Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
I'm not saying, but I do want to put this out there

Thank you rBr
Very appropriate
kriess - November 7, 2009
It's not a bad flavor ;)
Although I’m more of a chocolate guy myself.
TheElusiveShadow - November 7, 2009
LOL. And the one play they tried to get clever...
Colt fumbles. LMAO. That’s what happens when your entire game plan is so vanilla the word “threesome” is a sin that must not be uttered.
iamjackburton - November 7, 2009
Is that
for the Vanilla offense, or does it mean “I Scream”? Or both?
tdwalsh - November 7, 2009
good one.
TXStampede - November 7, 2009
Oh geez
I miss Blue Bell SOOOOO BAD!
kirk1005 - November 7, 2009
Just saw a Whataburger commercial
I’m betting if you don’t have Blue Bell, you don’t have Whataburger either?
horndude - November 7, 2009
We have neither of those here
And worse, we don’t have In-N-Out Burger. We do have Five Guys and Fatburger, but…well, it’s not on par.
In short, the mid-atlantic sucks arse for food, except for sit-down restaurants. Their idea of good food is sea cockroaches (crabs).
burntorangehorn - November 7, 2009
ditto for the midwest
and their shitty idea of what constitutes BBQ and chili
LonghornEm - November 7, 2009
Which "midwest"?
The real midwest (Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, etc.) or the pretend midwest (Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, etc.)?
burntorangehorn - November 7, 2009
Indiana
but my SO is from Cincy and thinks that Cincinnati/Skyline Chili is real chili.
And since when is Colorado midwestern? That’s actual west, not midwest. (They also have delicious food.)
LonghornEm - November 7, 2009

silky51 - November 7, 2009
could not believe
they ran that naked bootleg with stanzi in the endzone.
brownf - November 7, 2009
my assumption has been all season
that they will go down to tOSU. and even if they don’t, meh
drbadass - November 7, 2009
yeah and the whole being good thing...
andmyster - November 7, 2009
Again, they'll probably end up winning by 20.
iamjackburton - November 7, 2009
Yeah, if they collapse like Indiana did last week...
That was a hell of a collapse by IU. I’ve never seen a team give a game away that easily in the 4th.
cj43 - November 7, 2009

Williams dropped one and Kirkendoll didn't make a play on the ball
Not sure how this is the fault of poor offensive playcalling
40AS - November 7, 2009
Atleast we are throwing the ball down the field finally..
Even if its not caught, at least it stretches the defense.
cj43 - November 7, 2009
yeah
The second drive was GD’s fault, but everything else is on the 11 guys out there.

drbadass - November 7, 2009
That's true
But I’ll keep watching them because I won’t have to keep hearing about the greatest of Tim Tebow every 15 minutes.
iamjackburton - November 7, 2009
this
drbadass - November 7, 2009
thanks guys
I saw the screaming lady and nearly shit my pants! Don’t do that to me again.
hornaddict - November 7, 2009 via mobile
I think
the last two drives brought out the screaming lady. Interception and then 4 yard pass with no timeouts and 25 seconds left.

zamm - November 7, 2009
Horrible
Our oline is getting destroyed.
kirk1005 - November 7, 2009
so what else is new?
ez-E - November 7, 2009
I still think
that our o-line is better in straight up run blocking than the zone blocking scheme. I think it confuses them too much.
kirk1005 - November 7, 2009
punt? wtf?
Ohio Horn - November 7, 2009
Awful kick
kriess - November 7, 2009
Come on Tucker!

It’s raining. Maybe not pouring, but definitely raining.
burntorangehorn - November 7, 2009
GREAT PUNT!
ez-E - November 7, 2009
Another horrible punt
What has UCF done to deserve the “respect” of the rugby kick?
kirk1005 - November 7, 2009
zackly
Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
Their front 7 is good.
GD still hasn’t realized that yet after two quarters so he keeps doing the same thing leaving Colt in there. Just like the cranky old uncle who refuses to bathe.
iamjackburton - November 7, 2009
across the board aside from the MW catch
Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
not exactly crisp

prince8846 - November 7, 2009
This game blows
kcmorse - November 7, 2009
We just don't have a very strong O-line
Hard to believe for a team that recruits like UT

I am actually trying not to drink during this game but they are making it very difficult..
cj43 - November 7, 2009
i go to notre dame for grad school now
so i have to be really drunk to watch football and not want to killself now…have to get started early before heading over to the Navy game in a few
LonghornEm - November 7, 2009
Help is on the way
I had been drinking some Trader Joe’s beer, not the Texan or Russian stuff I usually have that gets UT going so well. But I busted out a Baltika 9, so I expect dividends soon.
burntorangehorn - November 7, 2009
Maybe after halftime they will be ready to go!
Oh well
Ohio Horn - November 7, 2009
I think this is a game where GD will try to avoid calling Colt's number to run
Which will hurt our run game, obviously, but I guess it protects Colt in a game where there’s no danger of losing.
TheElusiveShadow - November 7, 2009
We need our D to strip the ball or intercept a pass.
Need to momentum
Ohio Horn - November 7, 2009
yea cuz its not like offense can to anything with the ball
hookemkp - November 7, 2009
We are now a 4th Quarter team..please be patient..
cj43 - November 7, 2009
If you knew about my dream last night about the Texas loss you would not be so confident
Ohio Horn - November 7, 2009
Wow look! A quarterback runs to throw to avoid the rush!
GD must be thinking, “HUh? What’s that”?
iamjackburton - November 7, 2009
Damn, Muschamp!
Giving up a lot of first downs today.
burntorangehorn - November 7, 2009
7?

Less than 100 yards
I’m not worried
kriess - November 7, 2009
did you mean a lot of yards on first down?
TXStampede - November 7, 2009
The D is awesome. There's nothing wrong with it.
It’s just the offense stinking up the joint.
iamjackburton - November 7, 2009
Just looking at stats
and UCF had 0 penalties in the first half. Kinda funny how the old saying is a penalty could be called on every play…
kirk1005 - November 7, 2009
what the they have positive rushing yards???
hookemkp - November 7, 2009
runback or offense gets a score first?
drbadass - November 7, 2009
ship finally learned how to fair catch!
LonghornEm - November 7, 2009
what? whats that supposed to mean
hookemkp - November 7, 2009
this week and last week (with the fumble) he didn't call for a fair catch when
a bunch of guys were about to run into him
LonghornEm - November 7, 2009
Thats the second time
Beasley almost ran into Shipley
kriess - November 7, 2009
I was just thinking that also. Duane better get his attention.

drbadass - November 7, 2009
I love
how the sun and the wind keep getting brought up, maybe they should practice outside the bubble once in a while if this type of weather is giving them problems.
tdwalsh - November 7, 2009
It's the battle of the "safe offenses" as run by unadventurous old white guys
We’ll win of course because we have superior athletes but it sure don’t look good whatsoever.
iamjackburton - November 7, 2009
Inspire
pass it on to the offense…
kirk1005 - November 7, 2009
I was really hoping this would be the part of the sked
where we’d get some legit GG playing time
drbadass - November 7, 2009
Was thinking the same thing but not today..
cj43 - November 7, 2009
let colt play. we have work to do
Ohio Horn - November 7, 2009

Mixed bag
Texas doing several things well on offense, hamstrung only by the impotent effort to rush the ball consistently. Absolutely looks like even a marginal improvement in that regard would be the difference in this offense breaking out. The play action is coming along, Colt’s throwing good deep balls, and spreading the ball around… If we could make people commit a smidge more to the run game, we’ll be in great shape

Hopkins Horn - November 7, 2009

hookemkp - November 7, 2009
You know we are spoiled when we play like shit and we r up 35-3
Dawnpatrol - November 7, 2009 via mobile
Some defensive TDs would be nice. They're due all game.
iamjackburton - November 7, 2009
Is anybody else
slightly annoyed that we keep rushing for TD’s instead of Colt passing for them? Not that any TD upsets me, but still…
circa1015 - November 7, 2009
Not annoyed at all
Hopkins Horn - November 7, 2009
Nope. Same difference, still 6.
iamjackburton - November 7, 2009
win and we're in. whatever it takes.
TXStampede - November 7, 2009
Some assclown on Orangebloods wrote a long post that Colt sucks
“Holding Colt Accountable”… now getting massacred LMAO
krelldoggy - November 7, 2009
Question Colt...
…and the football gods will punish you.
SunriseStudly - November 7, 2009
Isnt this the part of the game where Mack doesn't like to score anymore?
kcmorse - November 7, 2009
Yep, heavy does of the running game from now on...
cj43 - November 7, 2009
dose..
cj43 - November 7, 2009
Aren't those Tech girlfriends?
Hopkins Horn - November 7, 2009
Doesn't mean the D can't...
iamjackburton - November 7, 2009
2:22 left and down 7
Iowa on defense with 3rd and 6. Does not look good for the hackeyes
Ohio Horn - November 7, 2009
NW goes safe w/run up the middle, just asking for OT.
tdwalsh - November 7, 2009
a fieldgoal would be nice since i rolled the dice for a cover on the pickem
Bmadd3233 - November 7, 2009

Come on D!
iamjackburton - November 7, 2009
ESPN Just put up Jordan for consideration in the AA player of the week

drbadass - November 7, 2009
Colt is 3 yards short of Major's single game record
horndude - November 7, 2009
Mack will let him get it, only fitting
BossierTex - November 7, 2009
It would be nice
If Major insists he goes in.
SunriseStudly - November 7, 2009
(A girl can dream)
SunriseStudly - November 7, 2009
Two kickoffs in a row into the endzone.
Ohio Horn - November 7, 2009
was that tucker slash where has that leg been all year?
andmyster - November 7, 2009
The wind is a real factor on kicking today.
TXStampede - November 7, 2009
It's the wind...
cj43 - November 7, 2009
The Ducks' "fashion designers" need to be shot
Those uniforms are just an insult against college football.
iamjackburton - November 7, 2009
KU just missed a FG, still 7-17
ajax77777 - November 7, 2009
Unreal the great play we are getting from the DTs
So much for the “problem area”
krelldoggy - November 7, 2009
NW just missed a sure pick.
tdwalsh - November 7, 2009
if iowa comes back to win this, i will yack
Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
There may be some witch trials
Iowa has dark magics
SunriseStudly - November 7, 2009
they turned me into a newt!
…..
i got better..
drbadass - November 7, 2009
17 unanswered by Nw
Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
George O'Leary is so old school lol
Down 32 and they’re still doing draw plays lol. Maybe they’re hoping UT will keep fumbling or turning the ball over like Marshall did last week.
iamjackburton - November 7, 2009
4th and 2 Iowa
tdwalsh - November 7, 2009
Last play for Iowa?
Ohio Horn - November 7, 2009

zamm - November 7, 2009

burrito - November 7, 2009

burrito - November 7, 2009
Iowa first down. 1:40 left.
TXStampede - November 7, 2009
Ben Wells hasn't quite figured it out yet, has he?
Unfortunate, he came in with a good deal of fanfare.
andmyster - November 7, 2009
Randall again.
He’s playing lights-out football, except for figuring out when NOT to hit the QB.
burntorangehorn - November 7, 2009
Difference between Texas and Iowa
When Iowa struggles against a bad team, they win by one on two blocked field goals at the end of the game.
When we struggle, we lead by 28 in the 4th.
Hopkins Horn - November 7, 2009
by 32
Hopkins Horn - November 7, 2009
blow to the head my ass
Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
Chykie made a nice play there
for nothing
zamm - November 7, 2009
Iowa 4th and 10
Ohio Horn - November 7, 2009

Ohio Horn - November 7, 2009

BossierTex - November 7, 2009

What kind of accent? Swamp-talk?
burntorangehorn - November 7, 2009

cj43 - November 7, 2009
Iowa finished
zamm - November 7, 2009
Iowa loses.
tdwalsh - November 7, 2009
NW holds. 1:16 remaining. That's it for the hawkeyes.
TXStampede - November 7, 2009
So who'snow at the top of the "everyone else" pile? Cincy?
Hopkins Horn - November 7, 2009
were any of you actually ever worried???
Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
Great!
now can we all stop pretending boise state is worth a shit too?
drbadass - November 7, 2009
i mean seriously
Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
no
drbadass - November 7, 2009
Not worried . . .
. . . just curious since an LSU win today still leaves the door open for someone else to sneak into the title game.
Hopkins Horn - November 7, 2009
Michael Huff sounds like...
Cris Collinsworth, no?
bbatsell - November 7, 2009
snoop dogg
drbadass - November 7, 2009
same timbre
a lot more monotone
zamm - November 7, 2009
Doesn't sound like a Dallas/Irving boy
to me.
horndude - November 7, 2009
little bit
Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
Come on now D, don't give up the 7 (screw you guys w/the over).
tdwalsh - November 7, 2009
Gotta have a defensive stop here
daddy’s got money on the under
andmyster - November 7, 2009
fox is messing up the end of the game

Ohio Horn - November 7, 2009
Didnt the Qb

kirk1005 - November 7, 2009
pick 6 please
Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
C-USA refs trying to help UCF get a score here.
HornPossessed - November 7, 2009
I'm sorry
but as fast as our defense is, a team just doesnt have ONE freaking penalty and its a false start…
kirk1005 - November 7, 2009
They have had the ball for like 6 min
kcmorse - November 7, 2009
more late flags
Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
FUCK THIS!!!!
FUCKING CUSA REFS!!!! FUCK EM!
kirk1005 - November 7, 2009

SunriseStudly - November 7, 2009

drbadass - November 7, 2009
4 flags on this drive
Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
we have our second stringers in so it is over
Ohio Horn - November 7, 2009

Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
Are we lowering our expectations?
SunriseStudly - November 7, 2009

Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
Fucking horseshit if they get a TD here.
HornPossessed - November 7, 2009
Come on guys
Where’s the BOOM!?
horndude - November 7, 2009
NW wins
kriess - November 7, 2009
They just need to not allow a touchdown
Single-digits > double-digits
In fact, stuffing in four-down time would be ideal
burntorangehorn - November 7, 2009
Has to be four-down territory
Hopkins Horn - November 7, 2009
Why, you're not gaming to come all the way back, get your kicker practice if 4th.
tdwalsh - November 7, 2009
Push them back all 3 downs here.
tdwalsh - November 7, 2009
did anyone catch the hit to the head on the fumble recovery? good call?
Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
Didn't see it
I assumed it was phantom.
burntorangehorn - November 7, 2009
Ben Alexander
tackled him with his gut and love handles.
horndude - November 7, 2009
did anyone catch the hit to the head on the fumble recovery? good call?
Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
No
they never showed a replay. Just kept showing Chykie jumping on the fumble.
kirk1005 - November 7, 2009
Here comes the pick six
Peter Bean - November 7, 2009
yes please
Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
What, no pass intereference on that play?
Disappointing
SunriseStudly - November 7, 2009
NOICE sack
burntorangehorn - November 7, 2009
is that on purpose?
I like the Aussie accent
zamm - November 7, 2009

SunriseStudly - November 7, 2009

ez-E - November 7, 2009

ez-E - November 7, 2009
DEFENSE!!!
Ohio Horn - November 7, 2009
HOLD THEM HERE
Ohio Horn - November 7, 2009
The Legion of Boom
Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
Going for it...
…here comes our pick six!
SunriseStudly - November 7, 2009
They can't call pass interference on a sack.
tdwalsh - November 7, 2009
I meant the pass to the end zone
previous play.
SunriseStudly - November 7, 2009
Yes, I know, but I was talking about 3rd down, not responding to your comment.
tdwalsh - November 7, 2009
TEXXXXXXAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!
TXStampede - November 7, 2009
FFFFFIIIIIIGGGGGGGHHHHHHHTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ohio Horn - November 7, 2009

Hook ’em!!
Peter Bean - November 7, 2009
FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHT!
ez-E - November 7, 2009
Great hold on that drive after the penalties.
TXStampede - November 7, 2009
BOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
Well done
drbadass - November 7, 2009
Aaron Williams was on the field for that play?
HornPossessed - November 7, 2009
no, just suited up
ez-E - November 7, 2009
Rejected!
Nice stand. Preserve the respect.
burntorangehorn - November 7, 2009
Alright,
40 seconds to score again. just kidding.
tdwalsh - November 7, 2009
Now all we need is a 97 yard TD pass
GG can do it too.
horndude - November 7, 2009
that almost made up for the fact we didn't have any turnovers.
almost.
burrito - November 7, 2009
so Colt won't get the passing yards?
Ohio Horn - November 7, 2009
Oh. I guess he got it
Ohio Horn - November 7, 2009
No, he got his personal record, not the team one.
tdwalsh - November 7, 2009
I guess that saves something for next week, eh?
Ohio Horn - November 7, 2009
Glad that Major keeps the yds/game record.
TXStampede - November 7, 2009
So Shipley
Improved draft stock?
SunriseStudly - November 7, 2009
In a weak WR class, probably
I think he’s working to solidify day-one worthiness, and doing it well.
burntorangehorn - November 7, 2009
Gilbert time
Kind of dopey that they played him.
burntorangehorn - November 7, 2009
470 yds
that’ll work
Infield Elephant - November 7, 2009
On to the LSU vs Alabama game..
I think LSU has a good chance to knock them off..
cj43 - November 7, 2009
Over/under of, what, 19?
Hopkins Horn - November 7, 2009
47.5
cj43 - November 7, 2009
Not going to happen
Ohio Horn - November 7, 2009
Both teams have weak offenses...
Should be a tight low scoring game..
cj43 - November 7, 2009
LSU is overrated
But it’s a divisional game, and there are some playmakers on the team. Think they might have a decent shot against a team lacking in leadership, as ’Bama is.
burntorangehorn - November 7, 2009
even with that last drive, UCF only had 144yds of offense
burrito - November 7, 2009
check that, 151
burrito - November 7, 2009
Check my prediction from early in the first half thread!!!
150!
Hopkins Horn - November 7, 2009
Colt is a class act
Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
how many times does colt mccoy thank god
in daily conversation?
UTrumbo - November 7, 2009
it is a great example
Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
more than you..give it a try sometime.
TXStampede - November 7, 2009
Awesome!
Proselytizing on a message board!
burntorangehorn - November 7, 2009
that's how they roll.
horndude - November 7, 2009
stones?
burntorangehorn - November 7, 2009
The piece with he and Sam about how they are 2nd and He is first is very impressive
Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
josh hamilton
has a good one on there
Infield Elephant - November 7, 2009
I didn't think he really liked Tebow
But the consistent gratefulness to Him makes me wonder.
burntorangehorn - November 7, 2009
lol
Mulliganville - November 7, 2009
Well, it's probably mostly politics
because li’l Jesus has most of that contingent already, but it never hurts to appeal to thier voters now and again.
UT92 - November 7, 2009
9 different receivers caught a pass today.
burrito - November 7, 2009
That's even more impress considering that one had 273yds.
