Horns take game one 7-5 in a game that wasn't as close as the final score would indicate, until Nebraska threatened in the 9th. Game two start time should be around 6:05 and is allegedly on TV. Not sure how much updating we'll be able to do, but it'll be Brandon Workman on the mound looking for the series win.

Is Taylor Jungmann the most valuable player on the team right now?
Wescott Eberts (GoBR) - April 10, 2009
On the cable guide it says that the game will start at 8
Does that mean it will be tape delayed, or maybe they just are not sure the exact start time.
blazzinken - April 10, 2009
The free video seems to be working as well...
if the alleged televising isn’t working or, like me, folks are stuck at work on a Friday.
hornbone - April 10, 2009
not to me
Liches - April 10, 2009

Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009
Keyes looks really uncomfortable with this pitcher
hornbone - April 10, 2009
Keyes decides to swing at everything and strikes out
Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009
and...Keyes strikes out.
He was batting so much better in the earlier game.
hornbone - April 10, 2009
why do they keep switching back in forth between "K" and "S" on the pitch-by-pitch???
future_longhorn_dad - April 10, 2009
S for Swing (as opposed to looking)
Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009
With a 5 run lead, I don't like a 4 pitch lead off walk
(not that I ever really like it)
Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009
Workman throwing a ton of balls this inning
Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009
He gets out of the jam. Still 5-0.
hornbone - April 10, 2009
Rupp crushes it to right field
Second homer for him today (6-0)
Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009
Rupp!
Huge home run, 6-0 Horns.
hornbone - April 10, 2009
Hit parade continues into the third
Clark gets a single
Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009
These guys on the Nebraska radio don't understand about the disch
“How does this guy not have more home runs?” Because the Disch is gigantic.
hornbone - April 10, 2009
Although I like these anouncers
Although maybe that’s because the last game I was able to watch was Stanford
Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009
Yeah, they're good announcers.
hornbone - April 10, 2009
The double "although" was probably not necessary
Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009
Loy shows off his warning track power
Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009
RBI tripple for Belt (7-0)
Or a double + error
Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009
Apparently it was a single + 2 base error
Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009
Yikes, this is getting ugly.
8-0 now.
hornbone - April 10, 2009
Ugly... or beautiful?
Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009
Rowe with the RBI single up the middle
8-0 (1-out)
Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009
Flyout followed by a wild pitch
man on second, 2 down
Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009
Torres groundout mercifully ends the Longhorns half of the inning
8-0 after 2.5
Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009
And I'm going home - lets hold this lead
Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009
Another leadoff walk given up by Workman
Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009
Strike 'em out throw 'em out ends the inning
Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009
That's what I like to see...
Strike out/throw out to end the inning. Nice.
hornbone - April 10, 2009
Tant continues the trend by getting a leadoff double
Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009
Keyes!! RBI double!
hornbone - April 10, 2009

Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009

Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009

The Mack Attack - April 10, 2009

The Mack Attack - April 10, 2009

horndude - April 10, 2009
Nebraska coming alive
The Mack Attack - April 10, 2009
31 balls - 35 strikes?
workman having an off day?…seems our defense has been pretty solid though.
The Mack Attack - April 10, 2009
He's struggled with his command since the 2nd inning.
hornbone - April 10, 2009
Tough error from Torres, keeps the inning alive.
hornbone - April 10, 2009
Sucks for Workman, he should have been out of the inning
but now it’s Shinaberry in. 2 outs in the bottom of the 4th, 10-2.
hornbone - April 10, 2009
Wow! What a rough inning
whodat - April 10, 2009
And Shinaberry gives up a 3 run double
10 – 5.
hornbone - April 10, 2009
Good lord
I’m going to want to forget this inning later.
The Mack Attack - April 10, 2009
That'll screw up your ERA. nt
horndude - April 10, 2009
not to mention what it's probably doing to shinaberry
straight out of the bullpen and throwing a 3 run dbl…painful
The Mack Attack - April 10, 2009
That's probably going to go on Workman's ERA.
hornbone - April 10, 2009
Wow, Carrillo in. I don't even know who that is.
hornbone - April 10, 2009
He did a nice job!
whodat - April 10, 2009
Carrillo quickly gets the K. Inning over.
hornbone - April 10, 2009

The Mack Attack - April 10, 2009

What’re kinda craziness you guys cooking up here?
40AS - April 10, 2009
we're nothing without you.
you left and then everything went to hell.
The Mack Attack - April 10, 2009
Why does the gametracker thing say the game is over?
hornbone - April 10, 2009
5 run rule?
40AS - April 10, 2009
Heh, if only.
hornbone - April 10, 2009
Now it's back.
hornbone - April 10, 2009
Aggy scored 4 in the 8th to beat KSU in game one
40AS - April 10, 2009
Carrillo's got a lot of movement on his pitches.
hornbone - April 10, 2009
whats happening...
The game track is all messed up
future_longhorn_dad - April 10, 2009
1 out single for Nebraska
McKirahan then gives up a four pitch walk
40AS - April 10, 2009
McKirahan can't find the strike zone
Two walks, loads the bases
40AS - April 10, 2009
Austin Dicharry coming in
10 pitches, 2 strikes
40AS - April 10, 2009
Unbelievable
It’s like our entire pitching staff just decided to go on vacation.
The Mack Attack - April 10, 2009
They can't handle the cold.
hornbone - April 10, 2009
Two straight balls for Dicharry
Can we buy a strike?
40AS - April 10, 2009
How many pitchers do we have? We've used like two dozen.
hornbone - April 10, 2009
Unbelivable
5pitchers-5 innings
Liches - April 10, 2009
Error on a DP ball
Got one out, 10-7
40AS - April 10, 2009
Maybe we should try underhanded.
hornbone - April 10, 2009
Just a bad throw by Tucker
40AS - April 10, 2009
Weird how we can't throw strikes or field the ball in Nebraska.
hornbone - April 10, 2009
Groundout to Torres ends it
Kinda lucky to have only given up two…
10-7 through 5
40AS - April 10, 2009
Yeah, it feels like we threw 8 walks and committed five errors...
so only two runs is pretty fortunate.
hornbone - April 10, 2009
Tant grounds out
Keyes HBP
40AS - April 10, 2009
ouch.
The Mack Attack - April 10, 2009

One away
40AS - April 10, 2009
Strike three swinging
Two away
40AS - April 10, 2009
wow...there must be a lot of lag on my video.
The Mack Attack - April 10, 2009
And another K
Wow, Austin Dicharry—Hero
40AS - April 10, 2009
11-7 through 6
40AS - April 10, 2009

Texas Wahoo - April 10, 2009
3 K's in a row, wow, thatll work
future_longhorn_dad - April 10, 2009
most def.
very refreshing. we just need to keep on it.
The Mack Attack - April 10, 2009
Loy singles to start the 7th
He’s starting to turn on the bat
40AS - April 10, 2009
its funny, as good as our pitching is, you would expect it, now its relief
future_longhorn_dad - April 10, 2009
Yea
If you’d told me neither Ruffin nor Workman would pitch five innings today I’d have said we’d lose both
40AS - April 10, 2009
Pretty bad AB by Connor
Strikes out on four pitches
40AS - April 10, 2009
Tucker pokes one to right
But the RF makes a nice play…11-7 good guys through 6.5
I’m out, you folks bring home a W :)
40AS - April 10, 2009
Horns win game 2, 11-7
Wow. That got way too exciting for a while. Oh well, I’ll take a double header sweep in Lincoln any time, no matter what form it takes. Texas goes for the series sweep tomorrow at 1.
