Probably the most anticipated matchup of the CWS' first two days features the runner-up to Stephen Strasburg's "Best Pitcher in the Country" in Arizona State's Mike Leake versus the most experienced team in Omaha in UNC. Should be a good one and hopefully the Horns will see the winner.

Amazing how young Texas’ stars are…the other CWS teams had 7, 6, 7, 6, 6, 5 and 4 players drafted whereas the Horns only had two. Not to look ahead, but next year will be fun

Josh Spence, 9-1, 2.33 ERA…not bad for a second starter. If UNC wins it would mean we wouldn’t face an ace as UNC has Alex White going (but again, their #2 isn’t chopped liver either)

Time for a re-match. I’m torn on which team I’d rather face. Both are offense-heavy teams, but ASU could have Leake back on the mound for Friday, and I think it’d be nice to have beaten all three teams in the bracket.
