Go SC?
Hopkins Horn - September 24, 2009
Who too root for?
I’m torn, I am a fan of Sneed but all top 10 teams must loose.
mtntrance - September 24, 2009
Pardon my sloppy post. I need to read my typing before I hit the Post button.
mtntrance - September 24, 2009
I think this is an easy call
All undefeated teams need to lose.
Root for South Carolina
Hookem4life84 - September 24, 2009 via mobile
On the flip side . . .
. . . if you could guarantee that we’d go undefeated, I think I’d like to see Ole Miss emerge from the SEC more so than anyone else.
Hopkins Horn - September 24, 2009
ESPNDallas.com
Just saw the ad for the launch of the ESPN Dallas-specific website.
When similar sites have been launched in other cities, the on-screen graphic has shown players from all the major sports (Boston’s had a Red Sox, a Bruin, a Patriot and a Celtic.)
For Dallas? Tony Romo, Jerry Jones, Colt McCoy and Sam Bradford.
Yep, us dumb Texans only like football.
Hopkins Horn - September 24, 2009
Or..
to put it another way, we smart Texans like only football.
BrooklynHorn - September 24, 2009
Wow. people still go to ESPN for sports?
I usually tune into their channel for the games and the final scores.
iamjackburton - September 24, 2009
Jerry Jones?
why don’t they just put up Mark Cuban up there? I think it’s dumb to put an owner (no matter how famous) on the front sports page. Why not Tim Duncan, or even Dirk Nowitski?
vy til i die - September 25, 2009
While I do love the fact there is a game on Thursday night
This game is lacking entertainment. The most exciting play has been the punter from SC making a TD saving tackle.
Hookem4life84 - September 24, 2009 via mobile
This Garcia is a bad ass and they have an awesome run game right now
kcmorse - September 24, 2009
Interesting match up so far
I heart college football
Peter Bean - September 24, 2009
I'm finding it tough to watch
I’m spoiled by our bad defenses
notsofst - September 24, 2009
Can we make the next enemy of the nation Lou Holtz?
I nominate that jackass Notre Dome homer for sheer stupidity and the fact that even as a bubbling mouth breathing simpleton can he earn six figures and have people kiss his ass like he’s a lovable old man.
Dr. Lou indeed.
UT2001 - September 24, 2009
He is horrible.
dimecoverage - September 24, 2009
I agree...
I have to walk out of the room or mute the tv when the Dr Lou starts his rantings…and I attended the U of Arkansas when he was the Head Coach!
lauraj - September 26, 2009
Ole Miss is the 4th best team in college football?
Do the pollsters even watch football?
40AS - September 24, 2009
Need 6 here
Peter Bean - September 24, 2009
Big score
Snead’s gotta get it going
Peter Bean - September 24, 2009
If you listen carefully
You can actually hear Jevan’s stock falling
40AS - September 24, 2009
Jones
I’m already sick of Landry Jones and his stache.
dimecoverage - September 24, 2009
I kinda like the Landry Jones hype
Let them beat up the Idaho States of the world and come in flying high, we’ll kick ’em in Dallas
40AS - September 24, 2009
Good plan.
dimecoverage - September 24, 2009
They promote him like an all-world QB
When he’s only started against 3rd world teams.
Ese-De-SA - September 24, 2009
him and Barkley will have to battle it out
notsofst - September 24, 2009
Has the Aaron Corp train left the station yet?
40AS - September 24, 2009
It was a bus
Carroll threw him under it.
Ese-De-SA - September 24, 2009
What happened to Mitch Mustain?
How bad must he be for Carroll not to have put him in against UW?
BrooklynHorn - September 24, 2009
I think Jevan could have run that straight up the gut for 5
This team makes baby jesus sad
notsofst - September 24, 2009
4-14 passing for Jevan
Yikes. Ole Miss just looks like a poorly coached team. Like Houston Nutt is coaching them or something.
40AS - September 24, 2009
Is Ole Miss playing in Wyoming?
Sneed is overthrowing alot.
Ese-De-SA - September 24, 2009
that is one thing...
….that I recall about him during his stay here. I was upset during the K-state game, but figured it was b/c he didn’t have game reps, but there was no excuse last night
vy til i die - September 25, 2009
another undefeated bites the dust?
SEC is overrated this year even more so than previous.
cj43 - September 24, 2009
Tech didn't want to be in the Cotton Bowl?
That’s absurd.
40AS - September 24, 2009
Saw this one coming...
…especially after Memphis gave them a game in the first half. That final score from that game is deceiving; they got it from turnovers in the fourth quarter.
iamjackburton - September 24, 2009
should of been intercepted...
Looks like South Carolina has someone with Gideon hands also.
cj43 - September 24, 2009
Ole Miss' o-line is getting eaten alive
do not want
notsofst - September 24, 2009
not much exitement
I don’t think I have seen an exiting sec game yet. Volunteers vs gators was boring also. Eh, I do love watching football. Some thursdays and fridays. Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I’m still not satisfied
Javi - September 24, 2009 via mobile
There ya go
Peter Bean - September 24, 2009
Big 4th
Ese-De-SA - September 24, 2009
you still dont feel it
That exitement. At least they are still in it
Javi - September 24, 2009 via mobile
Now we've got a game
I’m excited
notsofst - September 24, 2009
Interested to see how Spurrier approaches this next drive.
Ole Miss looks like they may have found their offense. You don’t want to get too conservative.
Hookem4life84 - September 24, 2009 via mobile
Aggressive
It appears…
Ese-De-SA - September 24, 2009
So if Miss pulls this out after an abysmal first three quarters...
What’s the over-under the ESPN will be on Jevans jock?
Ese-De-SA - September 24, 2009
ditto
Being conservative usually makes it harder to win without that offensive spark
Javi - September 24, 2009 via mobile
I disagree.
Throwing every play while you’re up 13 points in the fourth quarter is giving Ole Miss all the time to come back. They should have been running the ball more, at least take out 2-3 minutes per drive. Instead, they’re barely taking any time off the clock.
iamjackburton - September 24, 2009
It's easy to second guess
Those plays were fairly short routes, that should have been completed.
Hookem4life84 - September 24, 2009 via mobile
Man there getting sloppy to much clock momentum has shifted
kcmorse - September 24, 2009
Stupid calls by Spurrier.
Throwing when they should be running.
iamjackburton - September 24, 2009
You're not going to close out a team
while going 0 / 5 on your passes over your last 3 drives
notsofst - September 24, 2009
Damn that kid flies
Peter Bean - September 24, 2009
Yeah, he's looking good
It’s gotta be 10 yards / carry in the 4th for him
notsofst - September 24, 2009
They threw five times and didn't get squat, no time off the clock.
They ran once and got 8 years. Spurrier is an idiot.
iamjackburton - September 24, 2009
I can actually see Ole Miss winning this one
kcmorse - September 24, 2009
If their RB is getting 1st downs, lanes are going to open up for Snead
SC looks lost out there
notsofst - September 24, 2009
Ole Miss should just continue to burn clock and make small plays. Im still rootin for SC though
kcmorse - September 24, 2009
Idiots
kcmorse - September 24, 2009
If Spurrier is smart, he'll run all day here.
Throw only on third downs…
iamjackburton - September 24, 2009
But he is the...
Ol’ Bawl Coach
Ese-De-SA - September 24, 2009
He'll be the ol 'Tard Coach
if he keeps telling Garcia to throw here…
iamjackburton - September 24, 2009
Spurrier needs to manage the clock from here on out and his team needs to start actually making some good plays
kcmorse - September 24, 2009
Missed the facemask there
That should have been 1st down
notsofst - September 24, 2009
works for me
kcmorse - September 24, 2009
Pass next play?
Ese-De-SA - September 24, 2009
Kinda..
Ese-De-SA - September 24, 2009
what happend to SC
kcmorse - September 24, 2009
they are deflated
kcmorse - September 24, 2009
It’s a very rare thing for me to root for Spurrier, but now that he’s coaching neither the Redskins nor the Gators, it’s a lot easier.
Go big, Ol’ Ball Coach. See if you can control things with Giles.
burntorangehorn - September 24, 2009
LOL. Even the announcers don't understand Spurrier's calls.
iamjackburton - September 24, 2009
OUCH....Sack
Ese-De-SA - September 24, 2009
Ole Miss will probably win this...
…thanks to the Ball Coach lol.
iamjackburton - September 24, 2009
NOW we got a game
horndude - September 24, 2009
Boom
Peter Bean - September 24, 2009
VERY nice hit!
burntorangehorn - September 24, 2009
BIG defensive play!
Ese-De-SA - September 24, 2009
wow, 4th and looooong
horndude - September 24, 2009
Go Cacks
kcmorse - September 24, 2009
Nothin’ like watching Nutt get slapped in the face by a bunch of ’Cacks.
burntorangehorn - September 24, 2009
Lol
Ese-De-SA - September 24, 2009
Wow
Peter Bean - September 24, 2009
Bad bad bad penalty
Ese-De-SA - September 24, 2009
With a Rebel Yell
No, No,Moe!
Ese-De-SA - September 24, 2009
haha
longhorn_dan - September 24, 2009
Love that SEC lovefest. The ‘Cacks beat NC State in the ugliest game ever, lose to Georgia, and beat an overrated Ole Miss, and they’re a top-15 team? Pfft.
Hey, they’re so great, why even bother dropping Ole Miss? We could probably squeeze a few more SEC teams into the top ten.
burntorangehorn - September 24, 2009
That's 4 weeks of top 5 teams dropping.
OU, tOSU, USC, Ole Miss
ajax77777 - September 24, 2009
Shows the pollsters don’t know jack about jack
notsofst - September 24, 2009
sorry not tOSU, just Okie Lite
ajax77777 - September 24, 2009
Sweet. I didn't even take the points on SC.
Doubled my money by taking straight up. Heh heh.
iamjackburton - September 24, 2009
Nutt just got nutted on by a bunch of cacks
kcmorse - September 24, 2009
Erin Andrews is Hot But...
I’d kill myself if I had to listen to that voice for more than 3 hours a week.
iamjackburton - September 24, 2009
She's fake and anorexic
I prefer Holly Rowe
bfaut86 - September 24, 2009
+1
TXinDC - September 24, 2009
Seriously?
I honestly don’t see it, man. Are you playing a joke on us all?
burntorangehorn - September 25, 2009
What was Snead's line for the night?
“PROBABLY THE #1 QB IN THE DRAFT” – what a joke
TXinDC - September 24, 2009
Do you disagree? Who would you say is a better pro QB prospect at this point?
burntorangehorn - September 25, 2009
Assuming he recovers fully from his injury, I think Bradford is a better prospect...nt
Rickyspub - September 25, 2009
if Matthew Stafford can go #1..
…w/ pretty much the same play, I don’t doubt Snead could be the #1 QB to go.
vy til i die - September 25, 2009
actually
Stafford had prototype size and a cannon for an arm
Snead doesn’t have the arm, nor does he have anything close to the production Stafford had. While I do think Stafford’s development at Georgia left a lot to be desired, he was ten times the QB Snead ever thought about being.
Beergut - September 26, 2009
Associative Property of Big 12
Okie St>Georgia>South Carolina>Mississippi
realmccoy - September 24, 2009
Associative Properties that make our conference look lame
Alabama>VA Tech>Nebraska
Miami>Florida State>BYU>OU
But I am very happy Ole Miss lost. I thought they stunk before this game. Then again, I thought SCAR stunk too. This was a battle of lame-o’s. Unfortunately this game is only going to go down in media circles as “the SEC just beating up on each other”
longhorn_dan - September 24, 2009
or great defensive battle...
freaking sec..
hookemkp - September 24, 2009
That’s the meme. When it’s a .500 school in the Big 12 or Pac 10 knocking off a top-five conference foe, the top-five team was overrated. When SC knocks off Ole Miss, or Ole Miss knocks off Florida, it’s just another example of SEC depth and beating up on each other.
burntorangehorn - September 25, 2009
So my friend.
has always thought that Snead should have won the starting position over colt..wonder if he’s feeling the same way now lol.
nyclonghorngal - September 25, 2009
Ouch!!
I think I’ll keep my Ole Miss Alum hubby from reading this thread…lol
Hook ’Em Horns!
