TexasSports.com announced today that the Longhorn Network will air 32 Longhorn baseball games this spring, beginning with the Alumni Game on Saturday. It appears that the only home game left off the schedule would be the April 28th game against Texas A&M which may be indicative of a national broadcast on another network. This is great news if you have the Longhorn Network, although if you're reading this blog then the chances are you do not have LHN. Even more good news for the half dozen or so of us with the LHN is that BON contributor Cat Osterman will serve as an analyst for Texas softball games broadcast on LHN.

Less than a month till first pitch!

That's fantastic!

Although I can’t get the damn channel

Great—now all we need are carriers!

I can't get LHN so I will watch the Sooner Network

Myself and all the future Longhorn recruits will eventually gravitate to the land thieves and will be asking ourselves who UT is?

Feel pretty good about Texas baseball's recruiting advantage

Especially over UT, a team that hasn’t beaten Texas in a series since Clinton was in office.

awesome news

I have LHN. This was really why the channel was created. In the words of Bart Scott, “Can’t Wait!”

ATT PLEASE GET LHN
wish i had it now

but this bodes well for the future when someday somehow i will have this wonderful network

What is this Longhorn Network?
Great!! That pretty much assures I'll have the same level of apathy that I have for basketball.
LOL - well played!
The problem with LHN in Houston is that will wind up being a wino and a bridge person.

The only place I can watch it is at a local wine bar.

Sadly, it's almost nonexistant down here..

Haven’t heard of anyone that has it until now ha.

I am new to Houston. What bar is this you speak of?

I am new to Houston. What bar is this you speak of?

Google it up - there are a few scattered abround Houston

This wine bar is in Katy, in a little strip center.

Is it off Mason Road?
It's at La Centerra shopping center

Located off Hwy. 99 (Grand Pkwy.) & Cinco Ranch Rd. There is alos a Ghengis Khan Rest. there that shows LHN as well.

You can get in Houston on a crappy little network called EnTouch.
network=provider
Yes!

Cannot wait since we have it here in DFW.

who's this we shit, Tanto?

I’m jealous

Anyone going to Fan Appreciation day on Saturday?
this doesn't mean poop to me, seeing as i live in the NW and THERE IS NO LHN here!!! booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Right!

Hell, I live in Texas and can’t get the damn thing. FAIL!

Do you think DeLoss

thought this all the way through? Did he realize that the vast majority of fans would not be able to see a substantial number of football, basketball and baseball games for an undetermined period of time that appears to have no end in sight? Which is worse: not knowing this would happen, or letting it happen anyway? What about a few phone calls to TW, DirectTV, etc., before signing the contract with ESPN, DeLoss?

No baseball this year. Damn.

STREAM THE GAMES, PLEASE!!

I'm guessing there will be a link

In the past for Texas away games there was almost always a link that could be found to get a streamed version of the game (even if it was just audio). I am guessing something will turn up this year for home games as well. We’ll just have to wait until things get closer to see for sure.

Couldn't see them before, Can't see them now

This irks me less than basketball, where LHN keeps me from getting games that were carried before. But with baseball, it’s just the loss of golden afternoons when I could have the Horns on TV while working. Sigh.

LHN = EPIC FAIL!!!

Great. Now I won’t be able to watch the baseball games, either. Thanks for nothin’, ESPN!!!

I am really starting to hate LHN.

….at least until I can watch it.

cannot wait to not watch any of these imaginary home games that are scheduled to appear on LHN

this spooky LHN that people speak of is like the Chupicabre… Lots of people have seen it but no one has seen it…

good news

I know a lor of people don;t have the LHN but its still good news.. Baseball games in the past were never on tv until the end of the season.
