No love for Shakeem Jefferson

This kid from New Boston rushed for Over 6,000 yards in his high school career, was a 2 time 1st team all state rb in class 2A, rushed for 368 yds and 4 tds against Dangerfield who was in the same district and yet he received no offers. How is this possible? Waste of talent because he definitely has division 1 ability. He also shared the backfield with Damien Haskins who will be a sr this year who rushed for over 1000 yds also. He will be attending Trinity Valley Community College next year.

If he's going to a JUCO

the odds are high that his grades weren’t in order.

Some guys are just great High School football players...

but don’t project at the next level.

I don’t know anything about the dude, never heard of him. But, this maybe is the case. I dunno.

don't know anything about him either...

but the key phrase i read was that he did that in 2A

Watching his film,

he’s actually a talented dude and has the skillset to be a D1 player, which is why I continue to think that going the JUCO route had something to do with things off the field.

He’s a good student and overall good kid if he was in a bigger school he’d have gotten offers. He also led the state in rushing in his classification for both his junior and senior years. He’s only 5’ 9’’ and weighs about 170 lbs so his size could be an issue but he plays a lot bigger than his size would indicate.

highlights!!
